From Brussels to Antwerp in about 1500: a unique altarpiece devoted to the Nativity. Here we have a small rectangular altarpiece featuring scenes from the Nativity and the Adoration of the Shepherds. The piece includes gothic tracery in the predella, columns under canopies, and twist-fluted molding framing the side and upper panels. Two doors, still bearing marks of iron fittings, likely once depicted pictorial scenes. Recent restoration revealed that most original figures are intact, except for the Infant Christ and a shepherdess on the right, which were replaced long ago.
